Our photographic approach is very relaxed, natural and always looking for a genuine glimpse into the soul of our subjects. We interact with our subjects to capture natural expressions and genuine smiles rather than just asking them to smile.

Consultation

Each finished portrait is artistically conceived and planned in advanced to ensure that it is a true reflection of the subject’s essence and character. We begin the process with an initial no obligation consultation. We meet for the first time to understand the nature and your vision for your upcoming portrait session as well as to discuss the personality traits of those being photographed.

Along with the usual discussion of clothing, lighting, make-up, style and location, should you decide to schedule a portrait session with us, we will encourage you take some time to consider where your wall portrait or folio will be displayed in your home.

At this time, we will schedule your portrait session at a location mutually agreed upon and process the portrait session fee payment.

Session

Each portrait session is individually tailored to meet the needs of your family. Sessions take place in the studio or on location. Currently, we are conducting most of our portrait sessions on location. Location sessions may take place at a mutually agreed upon location such a park, garden, the beach, but could also take place in your home or on your property. Location sessions are casual, un-posed and without backdrops and are ideal for small children and babies as they are more comfortable in their own surroundings. In Studio Sessions are typically reserved for newborns and maternity.

A typical session may last anywhere from one to two hours. In studio, newborn sessions tend to last approximately three hours allowing plenty of time for feeding, diaper changes, breaks for mom and rocking baby to sleep.

Projection Appointment

A projection presentation appointment will be set up for you to view and order your finished images. The photographic image we capture during the portrait session is only the raw material, which we use to create artistic renderings and variations for you to choose from. Each portrait is fully retouched and the colors are beautifully enhanced and will not be presented until they meet our high quality standards. Therefore, at approximately 2 - 3 weeks after your portrait session date, your images will available for viewing and will be presented as a musical slideshow projected life-sized in front of you during a projection appointment.

At the conclusion of the slideshow, most people wonder, “How will I ever choose my favorites from all of these?” Because of this, we always allow for ample time for each appointment so that you can view the finished images and make final selections. We will assist you to select your images, and design your custom wall portrait pieces that best suit your family’s needs. For this appointment, we ask that you have a measurement for the space where your portrait will be displayed.

Your order will be taken at this appointment so we suggest that you leave your children home as many decisions are made and your full attention is required.

Delivery of your Images

Although we do everything within our power to deliver your finished wall portraits as soon as possible, our number one priority is quality. Most orders are ready in 2 to 3 weeks; however, we reserve the right to delay any order we feel needs further attention. We look at your portraits as an investment and an heirloom that we do not want to rush.
