About Us

Lazaro Hernandez has been mastering professional photography since the mid-eighties. His passion began during his years in college where he studied the art of black and white photography and trained in the traditional darkroom techniques. He was a pioneer in the field of digital photography as one of the early adopters of the technology.

He has trained with master photographers such Monte Zucker, Susan Ruddick Bloom, and Eddie Tapp. His Fine Art renditions have been inspired by the works of master painters of past centuries such as Rembrandt, Monet, Renoir, among others.

He is honored to document the unique life moments of those in front of his camera. He strives to capture striking images, capturing the true essence of every individual he photographs.

Although her formal academic background is in Public Health, Yansi Hernandez’ true passion is photography. Inspired by her husband’s love of photography, in the late 1990s she enrolled in photography courses and began photographing as a hobby. After the birth of her first baby in 2002, she became a full time mother and began spending countless hours documenting precious moments in the life of her newest bundle of joy. Becoming a mother was the catalyst that persuaded her to go into the profession of photography. So, once she decided that photography was what she wanted to do the rest of her life, she enrolled at the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale to pursue a career in photography.

Two years later, Lazaro and Yansi decided to go into business together and specialize in child and family photography. Working on location and from their residential studio, their style is casual and natural relying very little on props and poses, as their goal is to capture the true essence of those behind the lens. As parents themselves, this talented couple is aware of the importance of the images that they create for their clients. Their commitment to quality and to building great relationship with their clients assures you that you have made the right choice!
